About the workplace and the role

At Gunnesbovägen 233, we offer service housing for 19 users with neuropsychiatric disabilities and comorbidity. We are now looking for a support pedagogue with knowledge and experience in working with autism, comorbidity, and clear pedagogical methods.

The role involves working as part of the team where regular tasks occur while you provide additional support for colleagues. As a support pedagogue, you will have dedicated time each week for pedagogical work, which may include guiding colleagues in challenging work situations, staying updated on the latest studies regarding clear pedagogical methods, guiding documentation, or collaborating with other support pedagogues. You will also be a superuser for the documentation system Lifecare.

A major focus will be on creating participation for users and implementing tools such as visual conversations. Dialogue regarding approach and methods is a daily part of the assignment.

An important part of the assignment is to support colleagues in succeeding in their roles based on the needs of the users and the mission of the organization.

In the role of support pedagogue, you will be responsible for having a holistic view regarding planning and follow-up, where you, together with our support assistants and educational coordinators, support our users in living the life they desire. You will belong to a network of support pedagogues and work closely with the area's educational coordinators. We offer you an exciting and stimulating job where no day is the same.

Working hours

Working hours are during the day, evenings, and every other weekend. The schedule is designed according to the needs of the organization and will change over time. In Lund, you will work as a support pedagogue for 36.33 hours per week.

Job responsibilities

• Provide support based on the user's own resources in daily living and ensure good living conditions for users in terms of self-determination, integrity, and participation.
• Perform and support the workgroup in social documentation, implementation plans, and other documentation, as well as in following up and evaluating interventions.
• In user-related work, be a support in applying a pedagogical approach and various types of alternative and augmentative communication.
• Have in-depth knowledge in areas directly related to the operational area and be a support in applying a pedagogical approach.
• Be a support in having a systematic approach and be a resource in applying current legislation in everyday situations.
• Be a resource in establishing contact with internal and external actors and support cooperation and collaboration with relevant actors and networks to meet individual needs.

We are looking for someone who

• Has post-secondary specialization in the disability field that includes at least 200 YH credits or 60 higher education credits or a combination that corresponds to at least two semesters of full-time studies, or another behavioral science orientation that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Has experience working with the target group.
• Has good knowledge and experience of clear pedagogical methods.
• Has good knowledge and experience of low-arousal approaches.
• Meritorious with knowledge and experience of working with individuals with high-functioning autism.
• Meritorious with experience in guiding.
• Can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish as the work involves documentation, meetings with users and relatives, and collaboration meetings.
• Basic knowledge of digital work tools.
• Meritorious with a driver's license.
